Behind every horse story is a family who loves them. We’re a Manitoba family learning, laughing, making mistakes, celebrating small victories, and creating memories together – one ride, one adventure, and one muddy pair of boots at a time.
If you’ve already visited my About Me page, you’ve met me. Now I’d like to introduce you to my greatest gifts, my three children. They are the heart of our family and a big part of the stories you’ll read here on Life Between Horses.
The Oldest – Austin
If you had asked Austin years ago where life would take him, he probably would have said hockey overseas. He spent years playing the game he loved, eventually playing college hockey in Michigan, USA.
But somewhere along the way, golf quietly found its way into his life. What began as a hobby soon became a passion, and today he’s proud to call himself a PGA of Manitoba golf professional.
Watching his journey reminds me that sometimes life has a way of leading us exactly where we’re meant to be – even if it’s not the path we expected.
The Oldest Daughter – Jaydyn
My daughter, Jaydyn, is the owner of our class clown, Apollo.
She has had enormous strength and patience when it comes to dealing with Apollo and his antics. He certainly knows how to test her patience, but Jaydyn has an incredible ability to bring him back to focus.
Watching the two of them grow together has been one of my favourite parts of this journey.
The Youngest Daughter – Kalley
My daughter, Kalley, is the owner of our gentle giant, Finn.
They are a bit of an odd pair with Kalley standing just 4’9” beside a big horse who stands around 15.3 hands. Despite the size difference, Kalley has never let Finn’s size intimidate her.
With determination, patience, and plenty of confidence, she’s learned how to work with a 1,200 pound horse who sometimes has ideas of his own.
More Than Horses
Life Between Horses is about much more than horses.
It’s about family, the lessons we learn from our animals, the adventures we share, and the memories we’re making along the way.
